Written approximately 400 years apart, Kenneth Singleton’s remarkable Evocation of the Spirit brings these two settings of the Ave Maria together in a surprisingly cohesive compilation.  The sensitive scoring the arranger used to create this band work will no doubt elevate your students’ musicianship to a new level.  The two movements can successfully be played in any order, and each work can also function as a short, stand-alone moment of sublime beauty in any concert setting.
